Stephen Turner’s practice is concerned with aspects of time and the dialectics of transience and permanence. His work often involves spending long periods in unusual and/or abandoned places, noting the changes in the complex relationship between people and their environment. His projects are rooted in research, exploring these themes in a variety of methadologies and media including performance, drawing, painting, sculpture, video and site specific responses.
